Josh Jensen relating one of his worst tasting moments when he pointed his Calera Selleck Pinot Noir 1979 last at a tasting put on by the Connoisseurs Guide to California Wine. His first vintage was the 1978.

"When I taste wines I can have great days when I'm perceptive and accurate, and days when I'm off the mark. I know, as soon as I get into a tasting, what kind of day it will be. That day, I had one of those bad days. I ranked our '79 Selleck last. If I'd not been at that tasting, the '79 Selleck would have won and put us on the map."
